Question for you all, especially sciency people. Was thinking about writing a story or screenplay where there are tentacled creatures that obscure light in a way they can only be seen in your peripheral vision. Maybe like mini-Azathoths with legs was the thought. Is there an actual science explanation for something that can bend light that way? Or bend perception?
