Quite frankly, as I start to update on Bonnie Blue, I look at my newsfeed and its full of posts about children with cancer, madmen killing children in the name of religion, wars, rumors of wars, absolute idiot politicians, etc., and I feel embarrassed to be blogging about a dog. Granted, shes my precious dog and she happens to be whats important in my life at the moment, but please take a minute to say prayers of gratitude for the fact that most of us are healthy tonight, living in a country where we dont have to worry about our children being stolen from us and sold into slavery. We are so absolutely blindly blessed by grace and dont even know it! That being said, Blue Dog was seen by her regular vet today, Dr. Buchanan (Dr. Buck) who is treating the lung issue as pneumonia. The esophageal spasm the other night was a vicious cycle of her inability to breathe. Hes treating her with antibiotics and diuretics and Monday will do another xray and ultrasound, if necessary, to get a better picture of the situation. Her age (15) is not in her favor, but shes hanging in there and were not ready yet to throw in the towel. Shes one tough cattle dog with a very strong heart. With everything else going on in the world, thanks for worrying about us. I cant tell you how much your comments have touched my heart.
