RANT: Just now sat down and went though actual Options for Obamacare. What a ClownShow. I can pay $448/mo and get a tax credit at the end of the year bringing that down to $218!? How can anyone afford this shit? This is why people dont get health insurance in the first place. So I can pay this huge price, but I still wont get any benefit until I pay $5k deductible, and even THEN the insurance will only cover 60% of average Healthcare Costs. Meaning at my age and health, I will ONLY BE PAYING insurance and NEVER getting rewarded from it for the next decade or so (knock on wood). This Healthcare Bill Compromise is a sad cruel joke ... its a travesty ... as many angles as I can look at it from, the ONLY people that benefit from this crap are the Insurance Companies ... and oh my gawd do they benefit BIG. Everyone forced to buy insurance? Govt paying 50% of insurance costs? Wow, windfall. So sad. All those tax credits could have instead gone to funding an actually viable and good Public Option that would have served the end which this whole reform was supposed to target ... making Healthcare affordable to those who cant afford it, and reducing overall costs resulatant from non-coverage and inefficiences. But the ONLY people that would have been hurt by that route would have been ... you guessed it ... the Insurance Companies. Is there a pattern here? Conclusion: I will NOT sign up for any of these Options. I will pay the M&@^$%F!#@&^% penalty. I will back whoever proposes to overthrow this ClownShow plan in the next election. I will back whoever proposes to institute a meaningful Public Option over its grave.
