RE: Directed Studies Students and People Who Want Jobs... Good Sunday Morning! Okay, here we go! This week officially begins our preparation for The Childrens Nutcracker. For that reason, those who are taking a directed study with me (as in this is the third time youre taking a dance class), you have a project. Lets talk more about what that can be. Those of you who want to take on a bit more responsibility, lets talk! Here are a few examples of what some are already doing! 1. Behind the Scenes at the GHS Childrens Nutcracker -- Odessa Brenan, Margaret Jennifer Berry Donaghey, and Arden Brenan (NOTE: Not sure if you saw on the Google.doc script, but we have a meeting with the director of GTV on Monday at 3:00 PM. It will go no later than 4:00). 2. Movement and Dance Company Gear -- Connor Hager Creating a design for tees, tanks, sweatshirts, etc.!!!! I believe others have joined this committee? Abby Desrosiers, Margaret Donaghey, Arden Brennan, Alicia Edgar) 3. Childrens Audition Volunteers! -- Addie Houle, Donagheys, Brenans, Connor, Elizabeth Grace Byam, and Alicia!!! This will go from 5:30 - 6:30 with kids, and then another 30 minutes with us. You will help facilitate the audition and then later help with casting. 4. Your ideas!!!! Seriously, if you have ideas about how you can help administratively advance the work we do on the floor, do share... For example, its really important that we get people to the show, what can we do to help make this happen? ALUMNI!!!! IDEAS???? Enjoy the rest of your weekend. I will be spending the rest of mine at Ice Dance New York, then grocery shopping, then making healthy, energy-fueling snacks for the rest of the week!!!!
