READ THIS... IF YOU READ ANYTHING AT ALL TODAY... Our very system of government is the EXACT reason why it is that our country is no longer the world economic leader and why it is that we have sent nearly ALL of our job opportunities over seas to mainly, China (who by the way) IS the new world leader. When you have a governmental body of people who are VERY well paid, whose basic job (as defined by themselves) is to be submissive to just about any and all solicitations by lobbyists (with payola) to hand out to that governing body, well... that is when you dont have a governing body any more... what you have is a bunch of people dressed in suits who proclaim to be the government who are nothing more than whores and traitors. They take our collective tax money for themselves, neglect the problems of the nation, take bribes from the lobbyists, send jobs elsewhere, let the infrastructure and quality of life in OUR country go to hell in a hand basket and live out their terms pretending to feel good about what they have done for a lives work, and ALL... while getting rich and fat on our dime! This may not apply to ALL of the members of congress and the senate but it most certainly does apply to enough of them, for if that were not so, OUR country would not be in the sad shape it is in today, and our country would have honest, dignified, morally conscious and patriotic people in the government AND (I might also add) the halls of (so-called) Justice. Our way of governing has, at this point in history... come into question. The people of this country need to take a vital stand (to CHANGE) what their very own government, (all three branches of it) are and have been doing to them for decades. Our government needs a reformation, a cleaning of the house if you will, and the best way to do it, in ways that will get ALL of their attention is by demanding that government employees, (our public servants) get paid the same as we (the peopledo). We must demand change in these areas and also create a new system of governing whereby those who desire to be our public servants need to possess a clear understanding that the seats with their names on them in congress and the senate are not a giant feeding trough ANY longer. It should and (will) become a place where there are term limits, much lower pay, and if they want health and retirement benefits... let them pay for it with their OWN money, just like WE the people have to. It should be a place too, where there are (incentives) for doing the RIGHT things for this nation, meaning (common sense) things and (taxable) bonus checks offered to any of the members of congress who come up with RIGHT thinking ideas that benefit all the people of the United States and get them implemented and passed. When you have incentives”, people are more likely to have an attitude of pride and of respect for the people and for their needs, as well as a good sense of having produced and done their job well. We need to do away with this OLD and TIRED way of deadlocks in our government. All that is, is a complete waste of time and taxpayers money. If we, (as a whole nation) want to get ahead in life, make our own lives better, make our nation better and much more prosperous, we need to get thinking, and be creative and that includes the ENTIRE gambit of thinking... INCLUDING, a revamping of HOW our government and the three branches of same operate. If we neglect to do this, and FAIL to take this matter by the horns and face it dead-on, we will parish as a nation... just like Rome did. Go to that city today... all you see are ancient remnants of what once was...the worlds leading governing body. Think it cant happen here? Think again!
