RECKLESS SPENDING OF AKWA IBOM STATE’S MONEY BY A COMMON UNTRANSFORMED APOSTLE OF UNCOMMON TRANSFORMATION, HON. ANIEKAN UMANAH. • Spends over one billion naira monthly to run an uncommon transformation television. • BEN TV in London alone gets about sixteen thousand pounds ( 16,000.00) weekly, that is about four million two hundred and fifty six thousand naira(N 4,256,000.00)WEEKLY, and about twenty one million two hundred and eighty thousand naira (N21,280,000.00) monthly. • All of these to exhibit renovated primary and secondary school blocks and roads construction. • Most months the cost of broadcasting and logistics are higher than projects on ground. In the state’s Ministry of Information facebook page, the Apostle of uncommon transformation unwittingly disclose the following windows of siphoning money. The publication dated September 14th and entitled “Please see below the comprehensive broadcast of Uncommon Transformation TV Series” listed the following: 1. AIT: Wednesdays 9:00-9:30am 2. SILVERBIRD TV: Thursdays 8:30-9.00pm. 3. CHANNELS TV: Saturdays 4:30-5.00pm 4. NTA International: Sundays 6:30-7.00pm. 5. BEN TV LONDON: Sundays 8.00-8:30pm Tuesdays 5:00-5:30pm Thursdays 12:00-12:30pm Mondays 12:30pm (repeated). 6. Akwa Ibom Television. Fridays 7:00-7:30pm Mondays 10:00-10:30pm Tuesdays 7:00-7:30am. 7. NTA (Uyo) Friday 10:00- 10:30. 8. Free videos on youtube/aksministryofinfo or uncommontransformation.tv. We wonder why it was not written, these are where Akwa Ibom money goes more often. The purpose for the costly but yet useless broadcasting is to showcase the legacy of Governor Akpabio to the outside world. We still remember Akpabio saying,’ if you build a five star hotel, you need a five star road to link it and a five star company to handle the job’ and now probably additionally, ’ you need a five star broadcasting service to showcase it to the world and a five star embezzler to make the deal.’ OUR QUESTIONS: If not to embezzle money, Aniekan Umana, 1. Why got to pay AIT, SILVER BIRD and CHANNELS to display ordinary road construction weekly, when all of it can be run in a single documentary once in a month on NTA? 2. Why after paying NTA UYO and of which other NTA’S stations can be paid to link up, depending on how important the program is, you still pay NTA international within a week? 3. Why is it that, after paying NTA International, you still pay BEN TV LONDON? Is the NTA International not covering London? 4. Why pay BEN TV LONDON to broadcast ordinary road construction and renovated class room blocks for four(4) days every week? What are we advertising, is it the construction companies or machines owned by our people to attract contracts from them? Of what value is that to London or our people at home? 5. Why senselessly spend the people’s money on non essential and irrelevant services when such can be done with just a click of the computer. We call our governor, digital governor but yet we are spending billions on the spreading of information that can be done at little or no cost on the state we, facebook page, twitter account, youtube account, etc. EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD, THE GOVERNMENT SEEKS TO REDUCE COST OF GOVERNANCE BUT OURS FOR THE SAKE OF PERSONAL EGO, DIVERSION AND DEDUCTION OF FUNDS, OUR GOVERNMENT KEEPS ACCRUEING MORE COST! IT IS A SHAME.
