REHEARSAL Sunday, Common Room, Manchester Universities Catholic Chaplaincy 5-6 Finale of Act 1 (Principals Only) - Bunthorne, Patience, Angela, Saphir, Duke, Colonel (Grosvenor from 5.30) 6 -6.30 - all Female chorus including Angela and Saphir 6.30-7.30 - Revision of numbers 1-4 (twenty lovesick maidens through to the exit) - Patience, Angela, Saphir, Jane and female chorus 7.30-8.30 - Revision of 5-6 and dialogue (soldiers of our Queen through to doleful train) - Duke, Colonel and male chorus 8.30 - 9.00 Finale of Act 1 (all chorus) - no principals Tom will be leading a dance workshop from 6.00-6.30 for the ladies so him and Liv can get a feel for who is going to be dancing what parts, soplease wear appropriate clothing for dancing! The Catholic Chaplaincy is the one opposite the University of Manchester Students Union and there will be members of the committee waiting outside/in the reception area for those who have no idea where theyre going! Lucy has very kindly offered to give help to any specific requests relating to any of the music so a big thank you goes out to Lucy for that! ARCH SESSION Saturday 12-9pm, The Arch As is the usual, bacon sarnies and hash browns will be provided, get there early if want them though, they run out very quickly! As were getting ever closer to show week, we need as many hands on deck as possible so that we actually have a professional looking set built in time so if you could commit to the majority of the day that would be brilliant! REOPENING OF PRINCIPAL ROLES Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are reopening the role of the rapturous maiden Lady Ella AND officer of the Dragoon Guards The Major. Lady Ella is a relatively small, soprano role whereas the Major is a bigger, strong Baritone role. Spread the word to any friends who didnt get a role the first time round and are not in the cast currently. Also for those auditioning outside of the present cast, you can still be in the chorus if you are unsuccessful! Auditions will be next Wednesday, 26th November, at 6pm, Room TBA for both parts. Good luck to all applicants! CHRISTMAS BALL Christmas Ball tickets are now on sale! This is one of the biggest MUGSS events of the year and it never fails to be an fantastically fun night of festivities. It will be on the 6th December and the price of the ticket is £20 for students and £25 for everyone else which includes a Hot fork buffet and the MUGSS favourite, a disco! It is going to be an awesome night, definitely not to be missed! Please bring money to rehearsals/arch sessions to receive your ticket. TICKET MANAGER The position of ticket manager is still open! If you want to have a little more responsibility by being in charge of the sale of tickets, we need a well organised, committed person who is good with money.
