Now, eight months pregnant, Meriam,her son and unborn child are in prison awaiting flogging and execution for apostasy . ( basically ,changing religions) The court ruled that her father,even though he wasnt around, is Muslim and therefore shes Muslim. She was given three days to change her mind,she refused and therefore,according to the book, she must die.
