[REVOLUTIONARY BOOK]: Raymond Tallis discusses his revolutionary book, Aping Mankind, which discusses the several gaping holes in the material explanations of consciousness - philosophy of mind. He exposes the deterministic world view which negates the idea of free will and how the correlation between neuro-scanning and sensory experience are not necessarily mirror images of one another. This book highlights the importance of the intersection of philosophy (of mind in particular here) and science. This is not a light read but is well worth it for the intriguing minds! Many might say this is spew of theism. Surprisingly, so it should be, the authour is an atheist. I highly recommend this book for those working the MEDICAL field so they can appreciate the need for philosophy in conjunction with science.
