RHAPSODY OF REALITIES SATURDAY, MARCH 8TH PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME THE GOD-KIND OF TALK ... for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. (Hebrews 13:5-6) Proverbs 6:2 says, Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth. This scripture underscores the precarious situations many have found themselves in today. Theyve been taken captive by their negative confessions; bound by their words. However, if youve been taught right, youll think right, and the result of that is, youll talk right. Moreover, when you talk right, youll act right. When you talk right and act right, your life will turn out right. Our confessions rule us. When it comes to words, theres no such thing as I actually didnt mean it. Jesus didnt say, You shall have what you mean, He said, you shall have what you say (Mark 11:23). When you joke, dont joke against the Word. Consciously speak in consonance with the Word always—over your life, finances, business, health, etc. Proverbs 18:20 says, A mans belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Here, the scripture isnt talking about how big your lips are. Its talking about the words of wisdom pouring out of your mouth. If youre not going to live a hungry life, then youre advised to speak the right words. If you dont want to be broke, then talk the right kind of talk—the God talk! Proverbs 18:21 tells us, Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. This means you can speak life and reap a harvest of good things. Whatever you believe and voice out with your mouth is whats going to happen in your life. This is a law of the spirit, and it works, whether or not you believe it. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for showing me the way to a life of continuous victory, through my faith-filled confessions, in accordance to your word! Ill never be discouraged nor subject to the crippling principles of this world, because the Word of God on my lips is God talking. I reign triumphantly over all the negativities of life, in Jesus Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY Romans 10:9-10(Amp) Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation. Mark 11:22-23(Amp) And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly]. 23 Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him.
