He is 3 years old, not too old and not too young - the perfect age. He loves people and was super friendly, wagging his tail the whole time during the intake process. He allowed all handling and seemed to enjpy human companionship. Why then is he in the shelter? Because his owner moved, dunped him in the shelter and walked away. Poor Rico must be wondering what he could possibly have done to deserve this. And the answer is nothing....he does NOT deserve this, but there again, what dog does. He has been a pet all his life. He had a home and devoted himself to the person he loved. this perfect boy is now fighting for his very life because you see, in the shelter it does not matter how wonderful he is. If he is not reserved by a person or a rescue Rico will die at noon. There are only a few hours left to save his life. Please advocate for him or, if you can, offer him a home. Rico will be forever grateful. You must act fast. Rico is depending on you tonight. With his great AVERAGE rating, he should fit in with the average family once he has decompressed from the shelter experience.
