ROMANS 12:1,2 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Paul is not writing this to unbelievers, but to Christians. He is writing to men and women who have been born again and filled with the Holy Spirit, yet he says to them, You need to do something with your bodies and your minds. We have to present them to God as a living sacrifice. And we have to do something with our minds. The Word says that you are to be transformed by the renewing of your mind. And your mind is renewed through the Word of God...Nobody else can do it for you... This is something that we do, not something God does. God gives eternal life. He offers us His Spirit. But God doesnt do anything with our bodies. If anything is done with your body, YOU WILL HAVE TO DO IT. The New Birth is not a rebirth of the human body, but a rebirth of the human spirit.
