RSOE EDIS Event Report - A pilot made a dramatic landing at a Melbourne airport this morning, arriving safely despite the planes nose wheel turning sideways. Fire crews were on standby at Moorabbin Airport while the Piper circled above the tarmac. The pilot had called for help after noticing a problem with the planes nose wheel, which is part of the landing gear. Airport chief executive Paul Ferguson said that when the pilot called in a problem with the front wheel assembly, emergency services were scrambled to the scene.
