Rajasingham, my uni mate (we did law together in the UK) and the owner of the immensely successful Brickfields Asia College (I actually helped him run his college for a short period back in 1991, before I started practising as a lawyer from 1992-1995) is spearheading the rescue of the Vivekananda Ashram in Brickfields, KL. Hes pledging RM500,000 to the Save Ashram fund, and collecting at least 100,000 signatures for the petition to save it. Im familiar with Brickfields as a student of the La Salle School there from primary up to Form 3 (before I continued my education at the Bukit Bintang Boys School in PJ) - and the Ashram has been there since 1904, serving the community well. Please do your part to preserve this heritage by signing the petition here, like I did, and then share this appeal with your friends. Were at 27,576 names now - we need 70,000 more:
