Random thought about this mornings sermon (at the 7: 30 A M service~Park Manor Christian Church~600 E 73rd St): John 11: 44 (NIV), The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, Take off the grave clothes and let him go. The pastor urged those of us in the congregation to go into our homes, our families, our community, our city & state, and into the entire world to help those who were once dead (in sin) to remove those strips (covering us)~unfaithfulness, hostility, fear, injustice, selfishness, hatred, prejudices, bigotry, and self destruction. Take off those attributes which do not glorify our Father, and let our people be free of every attitude and misguided walk down the wrong path. The spirit of God lifted yet another burden from my heart~To God the Glory!! Thank you Lord for leading me to this morning service and I will return for another early service (the entire congregation hugged or shook my hand~to assure me of my WELCOME as a visitor. Just a thought!!
