ReadIng all the travel horror stories I wanted to share our experience with WestJet @ Toronto Airport. We recently flew with them from Toronto to Vancouver and back again and the staff were phenomenal. They allowed our family to preboard to check and clear my sons area of any allergens, made two announcements asking people to refrain from eating nuts (before boarding and then again on the plane). They spoke to the people three rows in front of, and behind us, and did so in a respectful and polite way that didnt make them resent the request. Further, they asked me and my son for permission before each of these steps to make sure we were comfortable. They never serve any nuts and insisted my son load up on their safe snacks in case he needed them elsewhere along the journey. I know this is probably a uniquely Canadian experience but if you get the chance to fly with WestJet, do it! ;)
