Really heavy Ekadasi energy about as we coast towards yet another very heavy New Moon. On days like this its good to include some extra forward bends in our practice . . . keeping the heart beneath the spine creates a sense of release, which slows our breathing and signals our parasympathetic nervous system to relax the mind. With the New Moon rising on Sunday morning, I definitely advise an oil bath this coming saturday to pull the heat out of what will be frazzled systems :) Heres Pascimottanasana 2 & 3. Pascimottanasana 2, with the feet gripped, is a preparatory asana and Pascimottanasana 3 is the completed asana - except Im peaking over the top for the photo-op instead of extending the spine completely and resting my face in my shins :)
