Recent Australian Bureau of Statistics figures reveal almost 12,000 full time jobs were lost in regional Victoria last month. The State Government sacked 4200 public servants across Victoria including 548 DEPI workers, 122 Parks Victoria workers, 659 DHS workers and many others across regional Victoria. Regional unemployment increased more than 1.1 per cent to 6.6 per cent, with 8000 more people becoming unemployed.
