Reminder: Meeting at the Piedmont Club on Thursday, October 3, 2013 Speaker : Jack Fisher Our speaker Thursday is Jack Fisher. Jack was one of the original teenage dancers on Dick Clark’s American bandstand back in the late 1950’s. He later became a producer and booked acts for the legends of the day including the likes of Bobby Darin, Paul Anka, Connie Francis and Danny and the Juniors. He later produced an Emmy nominated documentary “Bandstand Days” which ran on PBS in 1997. Jack is a native of Wilmington, Delaware and moved to Spartanburg in October 2012 to be closer to his son Gavin, Assistant Principal @ Spartanburg High and who also provides color commentary on radio broadcasts of Viking football games. Jack will delight us with stories about the glory years of Rock and Roll
