Reminder for anyone still looking to enter the hockey pool, info is below. Sunday is the cutoff!! Thank you to those that have already enrolled! I would like to welcome you to the Magnetic Hill School Hockey Pool to raise funds for the Grade 8 Trip to Ottawa/Quebec. The pool method is a simple and fun way to raise funds for the students who will benefit from 50% of the money collected from the Hockey Pool. This pool is open to anyone and everyone! • Using the attached form to review the players in each box. • Then use this link: officepools/pool/invites/pick/DC8B9HR, which is specific to our hockey pool. • If the link does not work, go to officepools • Then enter in userid of: MagHillFundraiser Password: Grade8Trip • Start by selecting a TEAM NAME (be creative but no profanity please) • Enter in your FIRST NAME • Enter in your LAST NAME • Enter in your email address • End in your phone number along with area code • Then select one player in each of the 24 boxes based on the following point scoring system set up for the pool: Forwards: 1 point for each goal or assist recorded Defence: 1 point for each goal or assist recorded Goalies: 2 point for each win, 2 points for each shutout, so choose wisely! This will allow me to cross reference who has paid and who has not. Cheques are to be made out to Morris LeBlanc. The money collected will then be cross referenced with other parents to ensure complete transperancy. • Please send the payment to: ATT: Morris LeBlanc, 10 Katelynn Road, Lutes Mountain, NB, E1H 2S6 or to the student involved in this fundraiser. • Entry fee must be paid by no later than Nov. 15th. If not received, the Administrator of the pool will cancel out your team. General Rules • Once a team is submitted, there will not be any changes allowed to your team. • There are no trades throughout the year. • The pool is meant to raise money for charity and to allow friends/team members to have fun and test their hockey knowledge. So have fun with it and get others involved. • This pool is being hosted by volunteers and is not for profit to the organizers. • Payout will be paid once the NHL has finalized the scoring for the year, usually the day after the final regular season game. • There are no limits to how many teams you submit. A different team name and $20.00 for each team submitted is all that is needed. • The list of players in each box does not reflect current injuries or players yet to be signed. Do your homework or take a chance. Prize Structure: • Prize structure will be as follows: 50% of the funds collected go to Tree of Life 1st place prize: 60% of the remaining funds collected 2nd place prize: 30% of the remaining funds collected 3rd place prize: 10% of the remaining funds collected EXAMPLE ONLY: If 500 teams submitted, the prize payout would be as follows: $5000 to the Grade 8 School Trip (500 entries x $20 x 50%) Ist Place: $3000 ($5000 x 60%) 2nd Place: $1500 ($5000 x 30%) 3rd place: $500 ($5000 x 10%) Total Paid out: $10,000 ($5000 to charity, $5000 in prize money) ******Prize payout will be determined by the number of entries and money collected***** Tracking your Hockey Pool Team: • Log into officepools • Userid: MagHillFundraiser (no separation in any of the word) • Password: Grade8Trip • Results are tabulated each night so you can review each day if you would like. With this being the first year for the Hockey pool, I anticipate a strong level of participation and support, however, the success will be dependant on each student/parent/teacher to get the word out. I would encourage you to post the pool, share it with your friends and family, no matter where they live. Ideally, the more we receive, the more the students will benefit. Have fun, good luck, and thank you for your support! Should you have any questions regarding the pool, please feel free to reach out me at the following: Email: [email protected] Phone: 506-850-2256
