Reporting back on our Meetup experience: Using this method got us a lot of new faces at our intros, with very little work on our part -- almost none, in fact. Therefore, we got a lot of great PR and made a big impression on lots of dancers. For the most part, these prospectives are young -- in their 20s and 30s -- and this was the target group we were hoping to reach. We signed up one dancer from the Meetup folks. Its possible well get more next time. However, its worth noting that the dancer we recruited is someone we wouldnt have been able to find in any other way. So we are thrilled to have her with us, and are very pleased with Meetup. Well definitely use it again. Well soon be shutting it down until January, but before we do that, we will be asking the Meetup folks to go to our website and get their emails added to our mailing list.
