Retuning Officer Reptile Raila A Odinga. Sporadic protests and violence have marred vote counting in Mozambique following yesterdays highly contested elections. Several people injured in Beira following clashes between police and youth and in Nampula, riot police used teargas to disperse youth who had camped at polling stations to watch the counting in fear of rigging. In Tete ballot papers were burnt. The Returning officer Reptile Raila A Odinga says they will start releasing provisional results over the next two days but the final outcome is not expected until next week.
