Rihanna has surpassed the likes of Elvis Presley, Dionne Warrick, Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, et al. She has received and continues to receive acclaim in the music world in locations where she is still a visitor. She is one of the music industrys all-time greats by any measurement, in just five years, and not yet 30 years old. But in her homeland rather than embrace her greatness and her achievements, we waste precious energy criticizing her for wearing a bikini from the beach to Chefette; enjoying her youth; making music videos as her handlers dictate; relishing living. While her every success should be splattered across every front page in the island, it seems to somehow rub some people the wrong way when she achieves. Then her same critics go down by the library and pick up some young boy and pretend he doesnt have an Adams apple; steal senile old persons land; insist on DNA testing to support their own children; or simply combine all three and become an MP. Up and on, RiRi.
