The day had passed without lunch and we could only think food. We agreed and marched behind at a brisk pace. Our destination was the Amira Kadal where we hoped to much some local snacks. As the dusk light wafted through the half-dead maple-leaves on the Bund, the two us after having failed to keep up with the famished colleague, who took leaps, tried to slow the person down saying: Robert Thorpe must be watching, walk with respect.
