Robotryst Competition 2014 - 2015 : The National Level Robotryst workshop and competition 2015 was held in New Era High School on Saturday, the 6th of September and Sunday, the 7th of September, from 9:30am-5:30pm. The workshop was based on the concept of Wireless Robots. The workshop was followed by a Robotic competition in which 204 students participated from New Era High School. Students from schools like Kimmins, St. Peter’s and Green valley came to participate in the event. Two resource persons from Robospin Technology, Delhi conducted the event. There were 51 groups in all, each group consisting of 5 students. The coordinators were Mr. J. Vivekanandan and Mr. Milind Bhosale. The session was divided into four stages spread over two days. The first stage was the theory session in which the students studied about the history of Robotics as well as about robotics in the present. The second and third stages were regarding practical exercises during which the students learned to assemble a robokit and to use it in different ways. The fourth and final stage was the Zonal Competition itself. The objective was to make a line follower that used only one sensor with the help of the robokit. The winners of this competition will go to IIT Delhi to participate in the final round and will gain the title of International Robotics Champion. Also the participants will be given a certificate by Robotryst 2014 in association with Tryst IIT Delhi. Nine groups from New Era High School are selected as zonal winners to attend the finale to be held on 15th March, 2015.
