In a well designed modern roundabout, you should never have to change lanes inside the roundabout, or worry about other drivers changing lanes. Left crosses are impossible and a lane-controlling cyclists should avoid right hooks. However, yesterday in Davis (CA) I saw that impatient motorists can present a right-hook risk for lane-controlling cyclists in a multilane roundabout.
