Rs 200 crore allocation for Sardar Patel statue !!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- v hav many ppl going GAGA against this Rs.200 crore allocation for the statue as if that was the only thing tat happend in todayzz BUDGET !! how does Brazil project its tourism ..thru that statue of the CHRIST ...how does US project New York.... thru the STATUE OF LiBERTY ...hw do Malaysia nd Thailand project der tourism ..thru der great Engineering marvels !!! than whatzz wrong when INDIA is trying to build n INFRA which wl b awesome nd put INDIA on GLOBAL MAP ? nd with this Statue coming up wont that Rs 200 crore go into pockets of those who build it ?...EMPLOYMENT GENERATION !! nd this statue which is being built in BHARUCH ...wont tat area receive impetus in terms of tourism nd employment generation ? ...nd itzz really not just a STATUE ..the TOTAL project consists of a bridge connecting the statue on Sadhu island to the bank of Narmada , a memorial, visitor centre buildings, a memorial garden, a hotel, a convention centre, an amusement park, research centres and institutes which will also be constructed as a part of PROJECT ....! nd isnt Sardar Patel worth that respect ...aaj jo AKHAND BHARAT hai ..unke wajaha se hai > !! ..than the QUESTION arises do v need a statue to respect someone .....than i ask u ...y do v need IDOLs in TEMPLES ? ...y do v waste so much ink on printing GANDHIji on NOTES ??
