RunFanShop to host weekly radio show for runners First show to feature LetsRun co-founder Robert Johnson Flagstaff, Ariz. (August 2, 2013) – RunFanShop, a new online retail store for runners, has announced that the website will be hosting a weekly online radio show for runners beginning this Sunday evening, August 4 at 8pm Eastern. RunFan co-founder Ben Rosario will serve as the show’s host. In addition to earning a degree in communications/journalism from Truman State University, Rosario hosted a local running-themed radio show in Saint Louis during his days as co-owner of Big River Running Company. “I am sort of a sports radio nut,” Rosario said. “I went to college originally wanting to go in that direction so to be able to combine two different passions with a nationwide show for runners should be a lot of fun.” Rosario plans to fill the hour-long show interviewing athletes, coaches and industry insiders, recapping and previewing distance running action from around the world and interacting with listeners. The show’s very first guest will be LetsRun co-founder Robert Johnson, who Rosario said was his first choice to kick off the show. “I’ve long admired what Robert and Weldon [Johnson] have down for the sport,” Rosario said. “Having a website that covers running in a similar manner to how mainstream media covers other sports is refreshing. We’re going to try to do the same thing with our show.” In addition to Johnson, Rosario said he will be speaking with one of America’s most popular distance runners but is awaiting confirmation as to just who that guest will be.
