Rush EuCon 2014 update!!! Hey folks, Im pleased to announce that the event which was called Rush Idol is now renamed RUSH FANS GOT TALENT and it will take on the same format where Rush EuCon attendees can put their name forward to play or sing on a selection of Rush songs. We would love for all the instrument slots to be filled however if we are not able to fill some slots then they would filled by our Rush EuCon RFGT house band consisting of Guitar - Neil Dunnachie Drums - Zahid Hassan Bass/keyboards - Willie Winsborough Vocals - Mark Woodacre The instruments that will be available to play on the day will be GUITAR, DRUMS, BASS and KEYBOARDS. Of course if you would rather not play and just sing then you can also put down to sing with a live band behind you playing the songs. Please message me directly to put your name forward, thanks. - We also have a very special treat for you all this year. We will have a very special guest who will be playing a selection of Rush songs along with the RFGT house band. His name is Alex Dunn and is only 13 years old who is a fantastic guitarist. You may have seen one of his many videos on YouTube of him playing along to his favourite Rush songs. Both DONNA HALPER and KEVIN J. ANDERSON have both agreed to speak to us via Skype and you will also have the chance to pose a question to them during the Q&A session. - In addition to all of the above, we are also of course having 2 Rush tribute bands performing this year. On the Friday night we will have the brilliant Counterparts performing and for the first time at Rush EuCon from Italy, La Villa Strangiato will be playing all the classics from the 1970s and early 1980s on the Saturday night. Its an honour for us to have them play at EuCon and guarantee you will be blown away. We will also have our very popular Rush trivia pub quiz hosted by our very own Richard Scott, rock disco by our fantastic rock DJ Tom Cornell, and you can buy raffle tickets to win one of our fantastic prizes in our Rush raffle and auction to raise funds for our chosen charity, Diabetes UK.
