SAMHSA is accepting applications for up to $92 million in Systems of Care Expansion Implementation grants to provide mental health services for children and their families The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is accepting applications for Systems of Care Expansion Implementation grants to expand and sustain comprehensive community mental health services for children and their families. The purpose of this program is to improve behavioral health outcomes for children and youth with serious emotional disturbances, and to improve the health and well-being of their families. SAMHSA expects that grants of up to $1 million, for each year for up to four years will be provided to up to 23 selected grantees. The actual award amounts may vary, depending on the availability of funds. WHO CAN APPLY: State governments; Indian or tribal organizations (as defined in Section 4[b] and Section 4[c] of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act); Governmental units within political subdivisions of a State, such as a county, city or town; District of Columbia government, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands, Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa and Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands (now Palau, Micronesia and the Marshall Islands).
