It encourages those whose once flooded ground has become a desert land of almost irreversible drought and lack. The scripture says “For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring.” Perhaps one of the most wicked things to happen to God’s children is the closing of their tap of blessings. In the physical realm, a tap is an instrument that brings water from the source to the end-user. Likewise, in the spirit realm a medium is required to convey blessings from the source (heaven) to believers. The mystery of hijacked blessings Forces of darkness can hijack a blessing that is designated for God’s children even while the blessing is still on the way. It was a very serious situation in the case of Daniel when the prince of Persia withstood his angel of blessing. Sometimes; the powers in the air are commissioned to stop, delay or hijack blessings before they get to their destination. Daniel 10:12 – 13 gives a further explanation ” Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.” Here, an angel was the medium that was bringing blessings to Daniel but the prince of the air hijacked it for twenty-one days. In another instance, could it be that life has been a nightmare for you? You try your very best but it is as if you no longer know how to do anything. Is it that those who are less than you in knowledge and ability seem to be doing better than you in life? Perhaps the Lord made you great? You were born to be great? Greatness started in your life since the very day you were born? Men saw visions of your greatness right from when you were an infant? So how come your current state is a shadow of what you should have become? Ecclesiastes 10:7 provides a clue of what might be happening “I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth.” Has your greatness been hijacked? Could the horse of your greatness have been captured? Is your greatness now working in the life of another while you the owner of the greatness is languishing in hardship and suffering? Have the tables turned such that a man or woman meant to feed others is now being fed? A man or woman created to be a blessing to others is now a beggar? What’s responsible for the hijack? Anyone who is not prepared for greatness will have it hijacked by those who are desperate and more prepared. If you are careless you will lose out to those who are not up to you. When you are not on fire for God, there will be no protection from thieves, usurpers and snatchers. Should sin dominate your life, greatness will remain a mirage. Spiritual attacks such as witch craft burial of virtue, destiny, wealth, prosperity, health etc. How do you recover what was lost? 2 Timothy 2:3 – 5 says “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.” Realise that there is a battle to recover your greatness that you need to fight. Enlist yourself in the army of the Lord and be determined to fight until you recover your greatness. In this kind of battle there is no retreat; no surrender; there is no turning back; you have to fight until your victory is assured. Do not entangle yourself with the affairs of this world. Meaning that sin; transgression and disobedience must not be seen in the camp of your life or else you will only be a joker in the battlefield of life. PRAYERS: Hold my Hand in Weakness Lord God, you are my strength. Hold my hand in my weakness and teach my heart to fly. With you, theres nothing to fear, nothing to worry about.
