SENATOR S S AJIOBOLA He started his early school at St. Paul LGEA School, Isapa in 1960 to 1965 before proceeding to Government Secondary School, Ilorin and sat for his WASC in the Prestigious Provincial Secondary School, Ilorin as a result of his performance he was awarded Kwara State Scholarship in 1971-1972 for his HSC and federal government scholarship to study for his Bachelor of Science Degree in Quantity Surveying at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria from 1976 - 1979. He was born in March 4th 1953 in Isapa, Ibarikedo compound in Ekiti local government area of Kwara State to the family of Late Pa Adulkareem Ajibola Adeyemi and Madam Salamat Ibilola Ajibola He became member and fellow of Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (MNIQS) and (FNIQS) in 1982 and 2008 respectively. Between 1973 and 1974 he taught briefly at Anglican College of Commerce, Offa, Kwara State after his HSC. Between 1980 and 1989 he was in private employment with QUESS PARTNERSHIP, KADUNA where he rose to the position of Senior Quantity Surveyor. From 1990 till date, he is a principal partner in the firm of DESIGN COST CONSULTANTS, KADUNA. He is the chairman of FEBAB (NIG) LTD an indigenous building, civil and service engineering construction company. As a politician, Senator S. S. Ajibola came to limelight when he was elected delegate to the National Constitutional Conference between 1994/1995. In 1998, he was elected a Senator in the aborted Abacha transition program having defeated Olushola Saraki’s imposed candidate in the polls. Senator S. S. Ajibola is a founding member of the PDP and between 2000/2001, he was member of the board of directors of the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority and the following year he was appointed Federal commissioner representing Kwara State in the revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission. In 2003, he was elected senator representing Kwara-South after a protracted legal battle with Senator Makanjuola Ajadi, He was re-elected again in 2007 and 2011.
