SETTLED FRIDAY AHEAD Good morning everyone. An area of high pressure sees settled weather to end the working week today. A pretty cold start for this time of year with temperatures close to freezing in some isolated areas and in low single digits for many. Expect plenty of blue sky today with light winds. Some morning coastal cloud, especially north of Banks Peninsula just has to budge first and should clear by mid-morning for all. Those of you around the Kaikoura Coast will have cold southwesterly winds at first, but these will ease back in the afternoon. Temperatures reaching around 14-15 degrees and overnight minimums tonight of around 4-5 degrees. Enjoy your Friday and the weekend is looking like it will be bathed in sunshine with mid 20s possible for Sunday! - Leighton
