SEVERE WEATHER WARNING for HEAVY RAINFALL For people in the North East Pastoral and parts of the Flinders districts. Issued at 12:19 pm Saturday, 10 January 2015. A low pressure trough over the northeast of the State is combining with a tropical airmass to generate areas of heavy rain and thunderstorms. Further heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast across the warning area today and tonight, which may lead to flash flooding. Rainfall totals of 20-60 mm are likely, with some falls of around 100 mm possible, particularly in eastern parts of the North East Pastoral. Locations which may be affected include Arkaroola, Moomba, Leigh Creek and Olary. In the 24 hours to 9 am Saturday, falls of generally 30-100 mm were recorded across parts of northern and eastern South Australia. Some notable falls include 97 mm at Mannanarie, 92 mm at Arkaroola, 70 mm at Kalamurina and 66 mm at Woomera.
