SIDE NOTE - Everything I am sharing tonight is for informational purposes only, and is not intended to diagnosis, treat, or prescribe. Post #8 Lets start out with Lavender. If you could only have 1 essential oil this would be it. Its so versatile its considered the Swiss Army Knife of essential oils! For cuts, scrapes, and wounds of every level of severity, apply lavender oil on site to stop the bleeding, cleanse the wound, promote healing, and prevent scarring. Lavender can be used to soothe and heals rashes, eczema, and dermatitis. It can heal burns, chapped skin and lips. To stop a nosebleed, put a drop on a tissue and wrap the tissue around a small ice chip. Put the tissue-wrapped ice chip under the middle of the top lip at the base of the nose until bleeding stops. If you forget to use sunscreen, dilute our therapeutic-quality lavender oil 50/50 in coconut oil and lightly massage into sunburned areas a couple of times per day to soothe the skin and prevent peeling. Lavender is also great to help with allergies and hay-fever. For mild to moderate allergies, drop a couple of drops of lavender into your hands, rub them together and inhale deeply. Rub the lavender on the bottoms of the feet, particularly the balls of the feet and toes. For more severe allergies, take lavender oil internally as well. Drop a couple of drops directly on your tongue, hold for a few seconds, then swallow daily or whenever you have an attack. Alternatively, get some blank capsules from your local health food store and make lavender capsules by pouring in a bit of olive oil and 3 drops of lavender. Take 1 capsules 2-3x/day or as needed. My favorite use for the oil is to aid in deeper sleeping. I put it on my LOs feet every night and it’s amazing how effective it is! My grandma also uses it every night with great success. She used to wake up often in the middle of the night and require prescription medication to fall back asleep, but no more! Whew that was a long one, sorry but it is SOOOOO versatile.
