SLS, KNSG and the FGN In 2001, as then employee of the UBA, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi published a scathing review of Kano State Governments (then under Gov Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso) economic policy and calling the Governor a rural aristocrat among other insulting references. Furious, the state government wrote to the bank demanding dismissal of SLS or withdrawal of its accounts from the bank.
