SOCIAL SERVICES - CONDOMS, BINS, BOOZE, AND OTHER RUBBISH! - A NEED TO BE AWARE? - - (Just for information folks - although condoms do not apply in this case, please remember condoms contain DNA, as may other rubbish you throw out?) - Or:- Menu of the day, Rotten fish, served with used Condoms and toothpaste, followed by a mix of sour milk and mouldy bread, finally washed down by a glass of stale wine, anyone? - Just received this to my inbox, printed with permission. Morning james. can you let me know on a issue re social services. a friend of mine had a visit yesterday to whic they had been however she was out. when they came back they stated that they had been through her bin and spotted a wine bottle. they said they have her because of her having a drink. on monday she received a letter stating her case is closed then yesterday 2 sw stating that there been 27 complaints in 2 weeks. how come they can look through bins with out consent. that a breach of pro article 8 i beleive. yea she has a drink however her kids never around. can you let me know what you think. cheers. It rather seems like Social Services have now developed a penchant, shall we say, for bin sniffing, i.e going through peoples rubbish. Incidentally, I have heard of this before and I even suspect that in the odd case, that bins themselves may have been removed altogether, only to be returned again a few weeks later. Of course it is difficult to prove but if anyone out there has had such an experience and would be willing to publish, then that would further add to my suspicions. Mind you I would not be surprised at all if it were true. After all Social Services are the equivalent of the Gestapo, albeit in disguise. This authoritys infiltration into all aspects of life, is unrelenting and uncompromising and seemingly applies whether there are justifications to their actions or not. Not that they care anyway, as basically they can print what they want. In terms of the contravention of the Human Rights Act which this action relates to, depending on the reasons and the persons circumstances, firstly involves article 6, (a right to a fair trial), as it may be that information which the plaintiff is not aware of, could be used in the family court, but more so applies to Article 8, the right to private and family life, of which this is a clear intrusion. I would add at at this point that more evidence is certainly needed to provide final proof that Social Services are in fact invading dustbins for information, at least before we all jump to conclusions, none the less I genuinely suspect it may well be the case. I am not sure of the circumstances surrounding this particular case, but going through a persons bin, is surely more inkeeping with a tramp, rather than a local Government body, or at least one would think. - Perhaps not? ~~
