This is sanctioned animal cruelty and abuse. For what it is worth, the Devore Shelter staff encourages trappers to trap animals to dump at the shelter. Often times traps are left for long periods of time totally unattended. The cats and kittens in fear try to escape the traps and sustain wounds to their faces. There are solutions, TNR (and SNR) as Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care and Adoption Center advocates. Someone needs to put a leash on Josie Gonzales! In trying to find the incentive to encourage trappers and doom RO more readily: Specifically, under the mandate’s reimbursement methodology, shelters do not get more state funds if more households adopt animals, the report reads. Rather, shelters that euthanize the most animals receive the most state funds.
