SRINAGAR January, 18: Chairman Tehreek e Hurriyat and Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Geelani today in a significant move handed over his residence, Tehreek e Hurriyat headquarters and Milat Publication to autonomous trust and declared that said trust will utilize its assets for the promotion of fundamentals and mission of Tehreek e Hurriyat. It is no more now a private or individual property, said Syed Ali Geelani. It was announced in a historical meeting of constituent council of Tehreek e Hurriyat and Syed Ali Geelani announced that he has dedicated his whole life for the glorification of Islam and splendid objectives related to freedom movement. I pray to Allah for acceptance of my efforts and absolve shortcoming, and weakness and give me strength to stand by the pledge till last breath, said Syed Ali Geelani .It is unfortunate and a tragedy that our leadership was always exempted from accountability and nobody dared to identify their mistake or ask about their way of functioning, however I wish that me and my organization should fear Almighty Allah and stand for accountability. Syed Ali Geelani said that our every move and step with respect to cause and aspirations of people should remain transparent, clear and fair. Syed Ali Geelani said that it is pertinent that our approach should be unambiguous and accountability should exist in society and encourage people to examine and ask about our conduct, policy and way of working. Tehreek e Hurriyat is not a mere political organization, but a religious origination too and has emerged as a symbol of resistance in the political scenario of Jammu and Kashmir, said Syed Ali Geelani. We have clear stance and we do not believe to change our statements and stance regarding the kashmiri issue, Syed Ali Geelani apprised the meeting. In a declaration he announced that his residence, party head quarters and Milat Publication is no more personal property and since it is the trust which will look after it and it comprises a eight member registered body which is authorized to utilize its assets for the promotion of unity, freedom and propagation of Islamic ideology. Syed Ali Geelani asserted in the meeting that India has turned its deaf ear to our aspirations and sacrifices and it is the stubborn and obstinate approach of India that has created hurdles for the Kashmir resolution. Geelani urged policymakers in Delhi to learn lesson from history and review their Kashmir policy .While commenting over the negotiations between Delhi and Pakistan, Geelani said that these negotiations whether open or secret, won’t help until the aspiration of people of J&K are addressed in their real perspective. The people of Kashmir are not salable commodity nor have they authorized any individual, party or forum to go for an agreement or accord. While commenting over the plunder of natural resources by India, Syed Ali Geelani said that there is enormous potential and we can produce electricity through hydroelectric power generating units. We are in a position to generate income and if exported can become self-sufficient. We have mineral, horticulture and forests and if this plunder and swindling is stopped the state can become economically next to Switzerland. In his appeal for election boycott for up-coming elections,Geelani said that India portrays these election as an consent of people and as alternate for self determination and referendum. He stressed that vote is trust and we have been guided by Holy Quran to handover it to competent persons. Referring to the pro-Indian politicians, Syed Ali Geelani said that their hands are smeared with the blood of innocents, and are promoting liquor consumption and waywardness in our society. I am sure that if my nation sticks to its mission and exhibits its persistence, we’ll achieve our objective in near future .In his reference to non Muslim community he said they are our brothers and Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists or Christians need not to feel insecure. They are safe and there is no threat for their life property or honor and our lifelong mutual traditions of brotherhood will continue in future, said Syed Ali Geelani. Spokesman told Sachnews Jammu Kashmir in a press statement.
