Kostrad is a Corps level command which has up to 35,000 troops. 1988-1989 - Timor Leste, commander of Kostrad combat Battalion 328 1993-1994 - Kopassus, commander Group 3, a special forces training unit in Batujajar, West-Java; 1994-1995 - Kopassus, deputy commander; 1995-1998 - Kopassus, commander; involved in kidnappings 1977-1998; dismissed in August 1998. It is expected that he will again stand as a candidate in the presidential elections in 2014 Trial procedures: By decision of the Honorary Council for Officers (Dewan Kehormatan Perwira, DKP) Prabowo was dismissed from his position in the army in August 1998 for exceeding orders in relation to the kidnapping of anti-Suharto activists (Kompas).
