SUNDAY SERMON According to Scripture Jesus Is nt coming back. Then Jesus said to his disciples... I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom. (Matthew 16:24,28) Some Christian apologists like to pretend that taste of death means SPIRITUAL death instead of physical death, but I can easily prove that to be false: Jesus picked his disciples himself. You did not choose Me, but I chose you. (John 15:16) The choice of disciples was determined before the creation of the world. (Ephesians 1:4) Jesus picked the ones he picked because he knew in advance that they would always be faithful.(Romans 8:29-30, Ephesians 1:5,11) Therefore, since Jesus picked the disciples that he knew would never die spiritually (because he knew in advance they would always be faithful, and Jesus wouldnt be God if he didnt know everything), his statement to his disciples clearly meant that some (not all) of the disciples standing there at that time would still be living when Jesus returned to Earth.
