SURGERY UPDATE From Andrews brother, Philip: Andrew is out of surgery and doing well. Dr. Berger met with us and explained that he felt the surgery was successful. He indicated that Andrew did extremely well and was impressed with Andrews mental strength throughout the surgery. Dr Berger indicated that this was definitely a progression of the original tumor and not a separate growth. The new progression had advanced significantly deeper, however, due to some adaptations his body had made since the last surgery, he was able to get deeper this time to resect much of the new growth. He did not provide any percentages but was positive overall. They will run tests on the tissue they took out and determine the best course from here. The next week will be spent recovering and waiting for lab results to determine the options available to him. We will continue to provide updates as we receive them.
