SURRENDER I want to walk closer, I want to be more than just a casual friend. I dont want to be just another poser, I want to stand firm until the end. There is a deep thirst, For doing what is pure and right. But my past has left me cursed, Tripping and stumbling through the night. It starts with just a thought, I scramble to fight, pushing it away. Before I know it, Im caught, My entire mind in disarray. What will it take for me to learn? I cant do anything on my own! Theres only one place I can turn, And cast my cares upon the Throne. Im giving up my solo fight, Joining forces with the Creator of the world. Invincible as my will and his power unite, In His love, the darkness no longer unfurls!! When the darkness tries to enter, I cast it to my Savior, and out of my way. My thoughts around Christ Ill center, My mind no longer to wander astray! finally, letting everything go, Its not the easiest thing to do. Only complete surrender can show, My Gods Glory shining through.
