Sad story with a happy ending! Mrs Joelle Humphreys was delighted to have two cats Jemima and Bear giving birth within 1 week of each other. Unfortunately Bear who had 4 kittens 1 week before Jemima was found dead one morning in the garden. leaving 4 orphaned kittens hungry and defenceless. Mrs Humphreys tried to feed the young kittens with a supplemented milk feed and was struggling to keep them going with 2 hourly feeds. Amazingly Jemima took it upon herself to find these kittens having given birth to 5 of her own a few days before and move the kittens into her box. she started to feed all 9!!!. 2 weeks on all nine kittens are still here despite all the odds and going strong. Huge credit must go to a tired Mrs Humphreys for not giving up and helping with feeds. Also Jemima who has show an amazing mothering instinct. Dont they look cute
