Sam Shaw Appeal Options for this story Sam is almost half way through his Radiotherapy treatment having had 6 of the 14 treatment sessions. He is doing really well and still being amazingly brave, lying still as a statue for his ‘special medicine’ but he is now starting to feel some of the side effects getting more tired and sickly from it. So it was brilliant to have another treat for Sam today…. Back in June Ricky Reidy very kindly offered to do some table magic at one of the fundraising events that Sam was unable to attend. Ricky had amazed us with his magic tricks and as always we reported this back to Sam when telling him all about the event. Sam had a million questions about ‘Magic’ and the tricks we told him about. So this evening Sam got an extra special treat when Ricky came to do some magic just for Sam, he showed him lots of magic tricks and made him some brilliant balloon animals and he even taught Sam some magic tricks that he can perform for his friends Sam had an amazing time - as did all the family. It was fantastic watching Sam’s little face light up whenever a coin or rabbit appeared or his playing card got pulled from the pack, in fact every time he saw another magic trick. Thank you so much Ricky for bringing fun and laughter to Sam this evening – we all enjoyed every minute!
