Samsung paid Apple $1 billion after losing a lawsuit and because the court order did not stipulate how it had to be paid, Samsung sent 30 trucks filled with nickels - but at least they paid their debt. Citicorp has also been fined $1 billion but they are trying to get some forgiveness and also want to sue investors instead of simply doing the right thing. A judge recently refused to hear Citicorps claim against investors but Citicorp will fight this as long as they can. Poor Apple, now they have to count and wrap all those nickels and might end up taking them to a Citibank near them. Maybe Citi will take those nickels and pay their obligation with them.
