Satos meeting was a nice start,THE AGENDAS were 1. formation of the assosiation plus an interim board where we managed to come up with the name of our Association MARIAKANI RESIDENTS ASSOSIATION, We also elected an interim board with Thomas Kenga Mwarungu as the Chairperson,Felister Nbidha as the Vice, Swalleh Swaleh Salim Ally as Secretary, Perulyn Koky as the Vice Sec, Shee Kimanthi As the Treasurer, Abdulrahman Al-kaff as the Organizing sec and a proposed Matron and Patron who are yet to confirm...N/B this Association belongs to each and everyone of us so everyone is counted as a member unless confirmed not.We agreed to register it as a C.B.O whereby members had to donate for the registration fee, with a kick start we raised around 6000. 2.Mariakani Education Fund which was a very wide discussion and brought about a lot of ideas on how we are going to support our community on matters of education..The Chairman,Thomas Kenga Mwarungu came up with a very nice concept and promised to share it online. 3.Charity Walk...Since this was Bonde Mali Library C.B.Os idea, members asked Bonde mali to re arrange the dates for the walk and do all necessary arrangements and we shall support them in it, but futurely we shall be doing our own charity walks.. ..We also agreed on monthly contribution which should be paid before 10th of every month, The contribution shall be in different categories,Gold Members shall be contributing 1000/=,,Silver Members 500/= ,,Bronze Members 250/= and Diamond Members shall contribute anything they feel like..NB members who were present chose ranks already and we have 5 Gold Members,,3 Silver Members 1 Bronze Member and 1 Diamond Member.. THE ASSOCIATION IS VERY OPEN TO NEW AND CREATIVE IDEAS AND WE NEED EACH AND EVERYONE S SUPPORT IN MAKING MARIAKANI A BETTER PLACE.
