Saw the oncologist today. She went over the ct scan with me and I have about 8 or 10 lymph nodes that are affected, most are in the shoulder and neck area and a few in my chest but they are small. She said shes never seen a case like mine and is going to contact some of her Mayo Clinic colleagues to see how to proceed with me but for now I will be starting radiation again, I see that Dr on Thursday. Hopefully I dont end up with burns this time. I asked her what stage Multiple Myeloma I am in. She said there are 3 stages and Im stage 3 because of the previous tumor I had in my humerous bone but told me to not worry because stages of multiple myeloma are different than other cancers. I will still have to do chemo but probly not till I finish radiation and it will probly be long term chemo, she just has to figure out the recipe I will need. Also has to find some kind of bone strengthener for me since I reacted badly to the zometa. The only other one that would be safe for me is not approved for multiple myeloma. So I am just taking it a day at a time and trying to stay positive.
