Saying YES to a BIG GOD.... A few weeks before Typhoon - TopicsExpress

Saying YES to a BIG GOD.... A few weeks before Typhoon Yolanda, I had come face to face with a life changing situation that made me say YES to what GOD wanted me to do to the people that He has pointed me to. I had a Jonas moment and since I said YES, my life had not been the same. Of course, I have hesitations each time a new thing/project comes along, after all, each and every project requires so much from me. My time, my attention, my talent, my ability and my resources but...and thats the big BUT, I noticed that in all of those times, my time, talent and resources are just too little in comparison to the enormity of the task ahead. However, just as I saw how small I was, I have also seen how BIG my GOD is. He would send me people and resources that can only come from HIM. Two big projects are up ahead: 1.) One is the Zumba Party to build 100 houses for GAWAD KALINGA Barangay Tambulilid in Ormoc City. Its a zumba and bazaar in one, where we invite other beneficiary organizations to sell their products on the side. There will be chair massages ( we are inviting blind masseuse or the reflexology group at Patria) for those who are new to zumba and would need those tensed muscles to be stretched out. Human Nature items sold on site, Gawad Kalinga Maguikay also selling water and their crafts etc. Kids selling used books, magazines and clothes. One hundred percent of proceed goes directly the building of GK houses. Each zumba ticket is equivalent to P250 donation and the first 300 people to donate gets a singlet. If you wish to donate more, you may also do so. Tickets are available at Human Nature Mandaue Branch in A.S. Fortuna, from moms who has volunteered to help and at Urban Kamalig URBAN KAMALIG Facebook page: (https://facebook/pages/Urban-Kamalig/506476176033102 ). While at Urban Kamalig you might want to try their yummy meals while at the same time help provide education to former out-of-school youths but are now UK Scholars. 2.) Second, we have a long running Health and Livelihood programs with the Badjao Community in Alaska Mambaling. Topics for the Health program includes: Hygiene and Sanitation ( part 2), Pregnancy and Child Care, Growth and Development and etc. The lice and knit control part 1 had been successful but we would like to give out another batch of kuto treatment as follow up. For the livelihood training program, as requested by the Badjaos themselves, here are the topics: Reflexology, Jewelry making, Sewing and beadwork and Urban Farming. If you feel a tugging in your heart to be a part of any or all of these these, please just pm me. For the Badjao outreach, we are in need of speakers, manpower and other resources to get these through. If you wish to be updated of the Badjao projects, just pm me as well so that I can include you in the group I made specific to this project... I am simply trusting GOD that the HE would bring to completion the good work that HE has started.... GOD bless you!
