Sculptor Stefanie Rocknaks statue of Edgar Allan Poe had a triumphant unveiling yesterday on a glorious day in Boston, attended by what I would estimate -- and I have a pretty good reporters eye for things like this -- to have been at least 500 people, maybe more. I got some interesting shots, a few of which I share herewith, along with some other images I took during the day, which took in a few favorite places in Cambridge as well-- the venerable Longfellow House where I am now spending much of my time researching my new book, and the 100-year-old statue of him by Daniel Chester French, which was re-dedicated just the day before -- and a few other shots in the Common and Public Garden I couldnt resist on such a splendid fall day.
